Southern Cross Observatory

Latitude 40.96 South Longitude 175.65 East

The stars that make up the Southern Cross are visible all year round from New Zealand and they also appear on our national flag so I thought it would be an appropriate name for my backyard observatory. This web site is to display my photographs of the night sky, firstly as a record of progress for myself but also to encourage people to try some astrophotography of their own.
